Dock

Dock is the Application that insert shortcut in the desktop that can be customize into different skin. Just like Apple Macintosh

There are 3 Dock Applications for you to choose

ObjectDock Download
The Smallest Resource
- Advantage: Only need small resource, Free, Easy to Customize, Many Skin
- Disadvantage: Not Many Addons.

RocketDock Download
The Moderate Resource Dock

Advantage: Free, Many add-ons, Many skin, Easy to Customize.
Disadvantage: For Low spec computer, it may not good

XWindowsDock Download
The Heaviest Resource Dock

Advantage: Free, Extreme Customization
Disadvantage: Not Recommended for low spec computer! Not Many Addons and skins cannot move the dock, always in the bottom

Compatibility: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7

Tutorial

How to add or change icon in Dock:

ObjectDock:

Mouse 2 on the dock, add , add new shortcut, choose folder that you want to dock. Edit title for name icon in dock, Browse Link folder and change icon through change image. Icon format that can be used: *.jpg *.ico *.png *.tga

RocketDock:
Mouse 2 on dock, Add Item(file for .exe, Path for Folder). Change icon through mouse 2 on the icon that you want to change, icon setting, choose + mark in the folder icon, and choose new icon.

XWindowsDock:
Mouse 2 Dock, Add > Folder. For adding application ADD > File. Changing the icon, mouse 2 on the icon , edit, change and choose the icon.

You can also make shortcut shutdown on the dock.

How?:
- Use Shutoff Create shortcut file *.exe on Dock Download
- Use Grj (Gehrunnerjunge) for shortcut file *.exe nya on Dock Download

How to Change Dock Skin:

RocketDock:

Skin that you have downloaded copy it to the folder skin in C:\Program Files\RocketDock\Skin.
then restart the rocketdock.
To use it, Mouse 2 on the dock, choose dock settings, in the Styles choose the skin that you have apply.

ObjectDock:
Skin that you have downloaded copy it to the folder backgrounds in C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Backgrounds.
Restart the dock.
To Apply mouse 2 on the dock, choose dock settings. In the appearance choose the background that u have copied.

XWindows Dock:
Skin that u have download copy it to

C:\Program Files\XWindowsDock\Skins.

Mouse 2 on the dock choose preferences. In the panel Click refresh, Choose the skin that u want to change, apply.

Stack docklet:

Stackdocklet is the docklet which function is to make a folder that can be fill on the shortcut to make it more tedious, [see the screenshot]

How to make stackdock:

For Rocket dock & object dock only, since Xwindows dock have it by default

- Download Stackdock
- Extract Folder to C:\Program Files\Rocketdock\Docklets (For RocketDock) or
- C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Docklets\ (For ObjectDock)

For RocketDock:
- After you have extract it, restart your rocketdock, mouse 2 on the dock, choose add item, choose StackDocklet.
- Setting Folder that you want to make it Stack. I.E Folder My Pictures. Mouse 2 the stackdock Icon, choose folder C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\My Pictures ; choose icon, OK. 2 looks for stack, Fan and Grid.

For ObjectDock: Mouse 2 Dock, Choose Add, Choose New Stack Dock. Same as the rocket dock.

For XWindowsDock: Mouse 2 Dock, Add, Stack from Folder, Choose the Folder.

FOR WINDOWS VISTA AND 7 REMEMBER TO TURN OFF YOUR UAC FIRST

How to add application in stackdock:
Make a Folder, Add shortcut that you want to make stack, I.E MSWord, Copy word.exe and paste as shortcut to the folder that you have created. then in the target folder, browse folder that contains the shortcut that you have make.
